Jindabyne Hotels and Accommodation

Jindabyne is a short drive to Perisher Blue & Thredbo ski resorts. There is a shuttle bus that transports snow skiers from Jindabyne to the snow fields.

The township is located next to Lake Jindabyne and offers great value accommodation all tear round. There are a number restaurants and hotels with entertainment to choose from including live bands and nightclubs.  

Jindabyne Location

Jindabyne, also known as “Jindy”, is the Gateway to the Snowy Mountains. It is a 3 hour drive from Canberra and just over a six hour drive from Sydney.

Jindabyne is certainly the central launch pad for both Perisher and Thredbo. Perisher and Thredbo are an easy half-an-hour drive away, via the Alpine Way for Thredbo and the Kosciuszko Road to take the Skitube to Perisher.

Jindabyne Facilities
There are two shopping centres in Jindabyne, offering supermarkets; liquor stores; chemist; newsagent; bookshop; bakeries; souvenir shops; banks; ski and clothing hire outlets; post office; video shop; cinema; cafés; restaurants; nightclubs; medical centre and an indoor heated pool.

The National Parks and Wildlife Service Centre is located on Kosciuszko Road, includes the regional office of NPWS, visitor centre, 180 seat theatre and cafe.

If you don’t wish to ski everyday in the region, Jindabyne is a great base for other activities, such as:
