Thredbo Hotels and Accommodation
Location Thredbo is located in the Kosciuszko National Park
Driving By road, Thredbo is a 2½ hours drive from Canberra and an easy 6 hours drive from Sydney and from Melbourne 7 hours. The Alpine Way is clear for most of the season but when the big snowfalls come, 2WD vehicles may be required to fit chains.
Coach Transfers using Snowscene Express are available from Canberra on Sundays and Fridays.
Resort Parking Parking in Thredbo is FREE and within walking distance of most accommodation properties. There are areas designated for overnight, long stays and day parking throughout the village. Also, many of the apartments and chalets offer their own on-site parking.
Resort Entry Fee When you arrive at Jindabyne you can pay your Resort Entry fees at the National Parks Centre or as you drive through the Park Gates. Village Transport A FREE shuttle operates every day around the village.
On Mountain Services Guest Services – Thredbo’s “here to help” team, are exactly that whether you have lost your way or lost your glove. If you are an intermediate skier or boarder and would like to take part in the FREE 2 hour guided mountain tour, meet the team at the top of the Gunbarrel Express at 11am – must have a valid lift pass. Ski Patrol – First on and last to leave the slope the Ski Patrol team are continually riding the mountain to ensure your time on the slopes is safe and enjoyable.
Other Services A medical centre, supermarket, post office, ATMs, chemist, internet services, bars and many more services are located throughout the village.
